The National Showdown League is a strat league only. No icon games are allowed.

 

We will follow all rules that are followed in MLB Showdown tournaments such as Regionals, Super-Regionals, etc.

 

Teams are to not exceed 5000 points. 4 man rotation and full price bench.

 

We will be following the new reliever tired rule, added for the 2005 season.

 

If you are found to be cheating in any way, you will be given proper punishment. This league is for fun, no prizes are given, so there is really no reason to cheat. Some of us are using the league to prepare ourselves to play in Super-Regionals this year, so please play fair!

 

You may play games against whoever you want (person must be a member of the league), whenever you want. The season is 24 games long, you must have completed 15 games to qualify for the playoffs. Someone who has completed all 24 games and has a worse record will make the playoffs over someone who has a better record but has not completed all of their games.

 

6-8 teams will make the playoffs (Depends on how many members we end up with)

 

You may play by AL or NL rules, whichever you like. The game will be played by the home team's rules. (whether AL or NL)

 

You will roll for home, and for starting pitchers before each game. If both players can agree on a certain starter to use, you may select your starters instead of roll, otherwise if no agreement is made you must roll for them. (All games must be the same starter for both teams, meaning 3rd starter must face the other team's 3rd starter, it may not be one team having their 1 starter against the other teams 3 starter, for example)
